A brand identity project for Brewtal Coffee House, a fictional cafe in Sydney's Inner West.
Project Goals
The aim was to craft a visual identity that reflected the coffee house's mantra - life can be hard so your coffee should be harder. Satirical humour is oven throughout the branding to really capture the essence of how grim life can be when you're under-caffeinated.
The brand identity is underpinned by a lot of illustrative elements, most of which were inspired grungy, underground occult art. Combined with dark humour, this style of branding works well to attract an edgier, creative, bohemian crowd. If the reaper drank coffee, Brewtal Coffee House would be his local.
